Recap
Just a brief recap for those that did not go through Part 1 of my individualhair restoration tale.
As of the age of 29 my hair began falling out, excessively fast. numerous years later a first hair transplant performed on a almost bald head. The method using the FUT surgery was extremely violent and really painful afterwards. The outcome was excessively thin, the hair density was so low that it appeared I was still nearly bald.
well, now we get to the second part of my hair implantation report.
Dissatisfied with the result of my FUT surgery I used the World wide web looking for a different hair transplant procedure or remedy. It quickly became obvious that in Canada there is a brand new hair transplant treatment was used for hair transplanting. This brand new method, Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE called, attracted my interest.
After many telephone conversations with some Canadian physicians I could understand that the main benefits FUE hair transplantation is that the complete process is carried out with no a scalpel and Consequently had no sutures or strong cutting involvement. That appeared to me a very attractive thought to avoid another significant surgery. The single disadvantage was the fact that the treatment is slower and thus would take 3 consecutive days.
After 5 minutes of thinking I made a decision to give it a try. many months later I flew over to Canada – Toronto. Dr. Jones is a very pleasant guy. after he had looked at my hair situation there was excellent news in that I have ample donor hair on the back. I sat down to perform a densification of the area that has already been treated a year before.
The 1st day started by the shaving my entire scalp to 1 mm. This is required for FUE hair implantation. Then followed a few quick injections to numb the donor area (back of my the head) and hair roots were extracted using very tiny needles. Some hours later, the removed hairs where placed back into the balding area. close to this time it was late afternoon as we finished the first day. The same process was repeated for another 2 days.
After three days of therapy I was drained from the long lie, but no pain or discomfort. Everything looked a bit reddish and swollen following the treatment and thus I wore a bandana to hide the visible leftovers from the treatment.
The days after the treatment I expected pain and or other discomforts, but nothing really came up except for some swelling. There were no other problems to report about. This was a totally different experience as opposed with my former Strip surgery.
Of course I had to wait for months on the outcome of my second hair implantation. After all the hair had grown, I could actually speak of a spectacular outcome. The density was strongly improved by nearly 100%.
My first practical experience with FUE hair transplantation was more than successful, it was mind-blowing and positive. I created a hair transplantation blog so you can see the result.
My FUE hair transplant experience subsequently has had an unbelievable effect on the rest of my life. This will I show in Part 3 of my hair transplant experience.
